Unconditional Love... (Happy Fathers Day!)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

[Chorus:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

[Chorus]

I can only imagine [x2]

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you..

The Kite... After The Bolshoi

The exact timing is sketchy, but what is known is that in October 1992 The Kite played a live gig at the Marquee in London.

The Kite had a short life and never officially released an album. The sound of The Kite is actually very similar to the solo stuff Trevor has gone on to release. Even "City of Gold" sounds very similar to songs he's done with Rathkeltair, thanks to the strings used in the beginning. Perhaps the best track is "Greenwich Park," which echoes the sound of The Bolshoi's "Lindy's Party" period. It is definitely worth a listen. On the other hand, "Save Me" sounds like it could have been on "Giants," though the overall sound of The Kite is definitely a little thin without the backup of Kalicki, Clark and Chown. - Thanks To World of Bolshoi.

Ultravox - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes (Live Aid 1985)

Here is Ultravox @ Live Aid 1985.

Dancing with tears in my eyes
Weeping for the memory of a life gone by
Dancing with tears in my eyes
Living out a memory of a love that died

It's five and I'm driving home again
It's hard to believe that it's my last time
The man on the wireless cries again
It's over, it's over

Dancing with tears in my eyes
Weeping for the memory of a life gone by
Dancing with tears in my eyes
Living out a memory of a love that died

It's late and I'm with my love alone
We drink to forget the coming storm
We love to the sound of our favourite song
Over and over

Dancing with tears in my eyes
Weeping for the memory of a life gone by
Dancing with tears in my eyes
Living out a memory of a love that died

It's time and we're in each other's arms
It's time but I don't think we really care

Dancing with tears in my eyes
Weeping for the memory of a life gone by
Dancing with tears in my eyes
Living out a memory of a love that died

The Sound were a British post-punk band fronted by Adrian Borland, which evolved from his previous band, The Outsiders. Their career spanned 1978 to 1987. They were labelmates of groups such as Echo & the Bunnymen and The Chameleons. They shared stages with bands such as The Bunnymen, The Au Pairs, Comsat Angels, Felt, Medium Medium, U2, Public Image Ltd., U.K. Subs, Eyeless In Gaza, The Stranglers, China Crisis, Fiat Lux, Shriekback, and Aztec

It was apparently managed by Allan Partner, who started TW records. The members included Trevor (who was going by Trevor Flynn -- using his mother's maiden name after his father left his family) and Jan. Whether they formed the band or not is really not known at this time.

The single that was released was "Man From Uncle," which actually has been put out three times. Trevor is credited on bass, Jan on drums, and both probably contributed back-up vocals. Trevor is also listed as a co-writer of "Too Much Commotion."
One other mystery - on the initial 1978 SRS-2103 release, David Ashmore is credited with writing "Man From Uncle" and Ashcroft/David Cole are credited with "White Black." On the subsequent releases (on Rialto in 1979, then TW in 1982), Cole's name remains, but a Dave Luck...

Real Life - Catch Me I'm Falling

Another SnooG Favorite..Enjoy!

Wake up
Don't sleep
Wake up
Don't sleep.
I lay down to rest my head
My soul to keep the night ahead

It's no dream.-
Slumber comes as darkness falls
And Shadows dance across
My walls
It's no dream.

I never sleep alone

My dreams become so real to me.
I unplug the phone
While the night is young.
Catch me

I'm falling down again.
I know it's a dream
But just the same.

There's a face before
My eyes are closed
But I can recognise
The danger there.
Slumber comes and darkness falls

And shadows dance across my walls -
It's no dream.

Well
I never sleep alone
My dreams become so real to me. . ..
Catch me
I'm falling
Falling.
Catch me
I'm falling down again.
I know it's a dream but just the same.
Catch me
I'm falling
Catch me
I'm falling

Catch me
I'm falling
I'm falling

Catch me
I'm falling

Psychedelic Furs - Love my Way

Another SnooG Favorite..Enjoy!

There's an army
On the dance floor
It's a fashion
With a gun my love
In a room
Without a door
A kiss is not enough
In
Love my way
It's a new road
I follow where
My mind goes
They'd put us
On a railroad
They'd dearly
Make us pay
For laughing
In their faces
And making it our way
There's emptiness
Behind their eyes
There's dust
In all their hearts
They just want to
Steal us all
And take us all apart
But not in
Love my way
It's a new road
I follow where
My mind goes
So swallow
All your tears my love
And put on
Your new face
You can never win or lose
If you don't

Joy Division - Disorder

One Of My Favorite..enjoy!

I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand.
Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man.
New sensations bear the innocence, leave them for another day.
I've got the spirit, lose the feeling, take the shock away.

It's getting faster, moving faster now, it's getting out of hand.
On the tenth floor, down the backstairs into no man's land.
Lights are flashing, cars are crashing, getting frequent now.
I've got the spirit, lose the feeling, let it out somehow.

What means to you, what means to me, and we will meet again.
I'm watching you, I watch it all, I take no pity from your friends.
Who is right and who can tell and who gives a damn right now.
Until the spirit, new sensation takes hold, then you know.(3 times)
I've got the spirit, but lose the feeling.(2 times)
Feeling.(7

The Waterboys - The Whole of the Moon (1985 Live!)

I pictured a rainbow
You held in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw then plan
I wondered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon!
The whole of the moon!

You were there at the turnstiles
With the wind at your heels
You stretched for the stars
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon!

I was grounded
While you filled the skies
I was dumbfounded by truths
You cut through lies
I saw the rain-dirty valley
You saw brigadoon
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon!

I spoke about wings
You just flew
I wondered, I guessed, and I tried
You just knew
I sighed
But you swooned
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon!
The whole of the moon!

With a torch in your pocket
And the wind at your heels
You climbed on the ladder
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon!

The The - Uncertain Smile (Acoustic Live!)

Another SnooG Favorite..

Peeling the skin back from my eyes, I felt suprised
that the time on the clock was the time I usually retired
to the place where I cleared my head of you;
but just for today, i think I'll lie here and dream of you.

I've got you under my skin where the rain can't get in,
but if the sweat pours out, just shout I'll try to SWIM AND pull you out.

A howling wind blows the litter as the rain flows,
As street lamps pour orange colored shapes through your window,
a broken soul stares from a pair of watering eyes,
uncertain emotions force an uncertain smile...

I've got you under my skin where the rain can't get in,
but if the sweat pours out, just shout I'll try to swim and pull you

Japan - Gentlemen Take Polaroids

Another SnooG Classic Favorite..enjoy!

Now there's a girl about town I'd like to know
I'd like to slip away with you
And if you said you love me how could I mind?
Is there another side to everything you do?

Take in the country air
You'll never win

Gentlemen take polaroids
they fall in love they fall in love
Gentlemen take polaroids
they fall in love they fall in love

Breathe life into me
Spin me round
And I'll just sit and wonder why
Just a foreign town with a foreign mind
Why is everything so cut and dried?

The taste of country air you'll never know

Gentlemen take polaroids
they fall in love they fall in love
Gentlemen take polaroids
they fall in love they fall in love

Take in the country, ah you'll never win

Gentlemen take polaroids
they fall in love they fall in love

New Order - Dreams Never End (1981)

Another Favorite Song From New Order.

New Order playing Dreams Never End live in the Ukrainian National Home in New York on November 19th 1981

My promise could be your fiend
A given end to your dreams
A simple movement or rhyme
Could be the smallest of signs
We'll never know what they are or care
In it's escapable view
There's no escape so few in fear
Give in a changing value

To be given your sight
Hid in a long peaceful night
A nervous bride for your eyes
A fractured smile that soon dies
A love that's wrong from your life and soul
A savage mine had begun
Hello, farewell to your love and soul
Hello, farewell to your soul

Now I know what those hands would do
No looking back now, we're pushing through
We'll change these feelings, we'll taste and see
But never guess how the him would scream
But never guess how the him would scream
But never guess how the him would

The Cure - The Only One (Live 2008)

The Only One..

Oh, I love
Oh, I love
Oh, I love
What you do to my head
(Hair?)
When you push me upstairs
And you pull me into bed
I love what you do
To my head
(Hair?)
It's a mess up there

Oh, I love
Oh, I love
Oh, I love
What you do to my heart
When you push me back down
And it pulls me apart
I love what you do
To my heart
It's the best, oh yeah

You're the only woman
I'd try for
Yeah, the only one I'd
(Die to pray for?)
You're the only woman
I'd sigh for
Yeah, the only one
I'd try to be clear
And it gets
Better everyday, I say
With you it's
(So extreme?)
Yeah, it gets
Better everyday, I say
With you it's so real
It gets
Better everyday, I say
With you
It's such a dream

Oh, I love
Oh, I love
Oh, I love
What you do to my lips
When you pull me outside
And I?
You like this
I love what you do
To my lips
It's a
(Sin for me?)
(Symphony?)
Oh, I love
Love, love, love
What you do to my hips
When you throw me outside
And insult me...
